What is required to be an Ambassador?

To be an Ambassador for Newton Chamber of Commerce you must be able to commit the time to once a month lunch meetings, quarterly Ambassador team gatherings, ½ day training on September 28, 2023 and the ability to reach out to your list of 20+ members on a quarterly basis. These touch points can be in person, by phone, email or social media. In addition you will attend weekly ribbon cuttings, monthly Coffee Calls and Lunch Links as often as you are able, as well as other Chamber events.

Comfortable meeting new people

As a Chamber Ambassador you will need to establish relationships with your assigned members. You will also be expected to introduce yourself and welcome new and existing members to Chamber events throughout the month.

Newton Chamber Ambassadors are an elite group of members educated on how to represent the Chamber and its important role in the community. Ambassadors act as an extension of the Chamber’s staff and work closely with the Chamber’s Membership Director. The main goal is to educate the membership on the benefits of the Chamber and to ensure that our members are utilizing all of the tools available to them. This is a volunteer role for individuals interested in taking on a leadership role in an organization and willing to advance valuable skills through personal initiative.

Each Ambassador is charged $150 upon agreement, which is used toward the monthly lunches and activities. You must work for a company that is a member in good standing and that entrusts and supports you to represent the Chamber and your employer to the business community without conflict of interest.
