Covington Movie Review: The Family that Preys

The Family that PreysTyler Perry is at it again with this partially Covington filmed romantic comedy, The Family that Preys! Released in September of 2008, this Liongate movie is as hilarious as it is heart warming.

With family feuds happening, the main characters have a lot to deal with. Alfre Woodard, Kathy Bates, and of course Tyler Perry are just some of the stars of this film.

Set in nearby Atlanta, the characters handle everything for weddings to cheating, and everything in between. It is a twist at every turn in this movie. High stakes of money, love, and caregiving all play a part in this movie.

This movie will pull at your heart strings, while making you laugh. Lighthearted jokes allows the writers to address real-life issues that people are affected by everyday. It is truly a Tyler Perry movie, that features the beautiful country sides of Newton County throughout it.

I would highly recommend this movie to anyone. It is not necessarily a family movie, as there is some language and content that may make it unsuitable. Overall, it is a great film, though. I say you should go out and get The Family that Preys tonight, sit down with a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy yourself!
