What’s love got to do– Got to do with it? Yes. Yes, we know, cheap pun. However, love has everything to do with this weeks’ stop on the Covington Walk of Stars Tour! Besides, what’s love without heartache? This week’s 28th stop on the Walk of Stars is a dramatic love battle called ‘Price of a Broken Heart’.
In August 1999, director Paul Shapiro brought Hollywood the hit film ‘Price of a Broken Heart’ starring Park Overall, Laura Innes, Timothy Carhart, and Andy Stahl. Based on actual events this story follows the life of a young married couple Dot and Joe. Flowing back-and-forth from past to present with the use of flashbacks, the film gives the viewers all that led Joe and Dot to the present battle encompassing their soon to be separate lives.
‘Price of a Broken Heart’ tells the tale of a woman in love with her husband who finds out he’s been unfaithfully cheating in secret, although in Joe’s case not so secretly. Joe’s infidelity widely known in the office is with his Secretary Lynn, portrayed by Laura Innes. Throughout the film we see Lynn try to play ball with Dot for the winning run.
Park Overall as wife Dot makes the film come to life with her passion. Standing up for herself and starting a new life she sues her soon to be ex-husband and through an old law also sues her husband’s lover/secretary/vice president Lynn as payback.
