Covington’s Annual Candlelight and Carriage Rides

“It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Soon the bells will start
And the thing that will make them ring
Is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart”- Bing Crosby

It’s finally here, that most anticipated time of the year for everyone from age 1 to 92. Bing Crosby was right. It IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Covington. We have to admit, out of the many events planned throughout the holiday season, one of our favorites by far is Candlelight and Carriages.

Every Thursday night in December from 6:00 – 9:00, you can spend “A Christmas in Covington” the old fashioned way. Experience the wonder of the beautiful lights downtown by taking a horse drawn carriage ride. When your ride is done, stay and do little a Christmas shopping in our many boutiques or have dinner at your favorite restaurant. Many of the merchants in Downtown Covington will be extending their business hours, so you will have plenty of time to find that perfect gift for the people on your “nice list”.

Don’t miss these magical nights. Come visit our historic downtown square in Covington GA for the holiday season.  Enjoy our complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides .The best part is that it’s FREE.

Candlelight and Carriage Rides begin this Thursday 12/7 and will be an ongoing attraction until 12/21. Mark your calendar and don’t miss these magical nights.

Hosted by Main Street Covington and Newton Federal Bank.

Happy Holidays, y’all!
