DIY Makeup Tutorial: The Vampire Diaries

Are you trying to find a perfect Halloween look? Well, we have got you covered! Tomorrow night is Halloween and we can show you how to do a Vampire Diaries inspired look. The Vampire Diaries is well known for their creepy vampires. Let us help y’all channel your inner vampire with these simple steps.

For the first step of this Vampire Diaries look, make sure you have already applied your foundation and primer, since you will be putting on a lot of different colors of eye shadows. Next, start off with some neutral browns as a base on your eyes. Then begin to use a black matte eye shadow by applying it around the outer corners of your eyes. This part can be a little messy because you are just blending the black in with the browns. You want to go for a smoky eye look for the eyes.

Once you have completed blending the black matte eye shadow in, begin using a very light white eye shadow under your eyebrows as a highlight. Afterwards, place liquid black eyeliner on the upper eyelids and a regular black eyeliner on the lower eyelids. If you want to step it up a notch, purchase black or red contacts for a spooky Vampire Diaries look. Use any kind of mascara for your eyelashes or even buy some fake eyelashes to stand out even more. You want the focus on the eyes, but also your face.

For that Vampire Diaries sunken undead look, use a black and brown eye shadow to contour your face. Do a strong contour and blend it in with a contouring brush. To complete the sunken look, start by using the same black and brown eye shadows under the eyelids. Really blend those two eye shadows under your eyelids.

The key to this Vampire Diaries look is the veins the vampires have when they are hungry, angry, or feeling emotional. Use a combination of red and black eye shadow to draw these out on your cheeks. Make sure to use a tiny brush for this and start from your under eyes all the way to cheeks.  This part is the easiest because all you have to do is draw squiggly lines.

Use a red lipstick for the lips and then put your fake fangs in. That is the final step and you should be looking fangtastic! Have a Happy Halloween!

Side note: You can purchase all of these items at a drug store or a local Halloween shop.
