Join us for concerts in the square during May!

May is going to be a busy month in Newton County! With beautiful weather and summer just around the corner, there are plenty of opportunities to spend some time outdoors and at various, exciting events that will take place right here in Covington. With such great weather you could visit Covington’s numerous different walking trails for a little exercise after work or on the weekends.
Need a break from the workplace? Covington is providing that opportunity by bringing back our Spring Luncheon Concerts on the Covington Square! These concerts will take place every Thursday in May at noon. It will be held in the middle of downtown Covington on the Square and is hosted with Main Street Covington.
The first Thursday of the month, May 7th, you can enjoy some classic 80’s and 90’s rock performed by the Blu Maxx Band. The next Thursday, May 14th, Johnny Roquemore and the Apostles of Bluegrass will be taking the stage at the Covington Square during the lunch hour. On May 21st, The Bradley Green Band will perform true Southern soul and gospel. Before they perform, the Covington Square will be in for a treat, as the concert will open with NCTS 2ND Grade Hand Bell Choir. The last concert of the month, held on May 28th, will feature the Seminole Jackson Blues Band.
Whether you are looking to get outdoors during the workday or on the weekend, Covington will have it all during the month of May. Take some time to enjoy the fresh air and warm weather and head outside for a concert or two during the month!
