  1. The Gaither Plantation – Gaither Plantation is one of Covington’s historic properties and was once a working plantation. The plantation survived the Civil War in the 1860’s and was said to have hid Confederate soldiers in the attic and basement of the house during the war. The Gaither Plantation is one of the most interesting tourist attractions in the state of Georgia.
  2. Georgia Wildlife Federation – The state of Georgia has a variety of environmental landscapes. From the mountain region in the north to the coastal regions on the coast, the Georgia Wildlife Federation encourages the protection and restoration of waters, wildlife, fields and forests.   3. Fox Vineyards – Located in Covington, this vineyard offers a variety of wines made on site. Wine tasting is welcomed and encouraged.   4. Covington Walk of Stars Tour – over 60 movies have been filmed in Covington. Covington is proudly known as the Hollywood of the South because of its film popularity. This exciting tourist attraction is a tour that takes you through Covington’s downtown area and through the areas where previous movies have been filmed.
