Georgia’s First Television and Film Museum: Hollywood of the South’s® Newest Attraction

Lights…Camera…Action!  This is a phrase Covington locals know well.  With over 65 years of film history, we are delighted to have Georgia’s first Hollywood of the South® television and film museum located on Covington’s downtown square.  Visitors from all over the globe have toured our museum and given it rave reviews.  For a mere $5 donation, it’s the most affordable experiential gift you can give your loved ones this holiday season (hint, hint).

At most museums, you are not allowed to touch anything or take photos.  At our TV & Film museum, you can touch props, try on Damon Salvatore’s own sweater, try on one of the wedding dresses from the bridal boutique scene with Caroline and Bonnie then take a photo marrying Stefan Salvatore.  Now I ask all of you Vampire Diaries fans, where else would you be able to experience that kind of Hollywood sparkle?

Not a Vampire Diaries fan?  You’re not left out of the fun!  We were known as Sparta, MS, for In the Heat of the Night.  You will love looking at all the photos and props from this beloved series.  Our museum staff will even tell you the great “behind the scenes” stores from the filming productions.
