In The Hollywood of the South we are very proud to have many Homegrown Trilogies. These places have some of our star history, hauntings, and Hollywood moments in Newton County.
Orna Villa, located in Oxford, Georgia, is one of our Homegrown Trilogies.
It has an amazing history that is deep rooted in Newton County. It is the oldest house in Oxford and was used a hospital during the American Civil War.
It even is said that this historic house is haunted! It is rumored that the house is haunted by Tobe Means, a son of a former owner of the house.
Something special about the house is it was used to film for The Vampire Diaries.
Orna Villa was used during season 4 of The Vampire Diaries. Do any of the vampire fans remember the murder night frat party? Orna Villa was used as the Sigma Kappa Beta house during the fourth episode (The Five) of the fourth season.
If you don’t remember the murder night party here is brief reminder with no spoilers! Murder night was when Damon, Elena, and Bonnie visited a Whitmore frat party. The theme of the party was murder night. So guests of the party either dressed as famous killers or victims of the famous killers.
While it was only used in one episode, we are amazed at all this Homegrown Trilogy has brought to Newton County. Whether we are talking about its deep-rooted history or its dark Hollywood use, we love being able to call Orna Villa part of our home.
