4 Ways to Spend Quality Time with Dad

Golf

Start off the day with a game of golf followed by lunch with dad or brunch with the whole family. Ashton Hills Golf Club is a top golfing destination in the Atlanta area that offers great golf, terrific scenic views, and superb amenities including an enormous practice range, putting green, and delicious cuisines at the Village Grille. Another awesome course to play on is The Oaks Golf Course. The Oaks is a top 100 Georgia course that has pristine natural beauty with its well-manicured greens and graceful oaks. It is known for providing superb southern hospitality along with outstanding food and beverage at Putters Restaurant.

Art

A special way to spend time with your dad is with a family paint party at WildArt. Having a private party with up to 10 family members will bring everyone together in a fun and creative way! Painting together in the relaxing environment at WildArt will give you time to bond while you unplug from technology. Everyone will leave the studio with a one-of-a-kind keepsake along with great memories from a whole lot of love and laughter.

Film

If your dad is a TV and film fanatic, he’ll enjoy seeing the Hollywood of the South®. When you were growing up, did your dad also love trivia? If he knew all the answers to Jeopardy, he might enjoy playing some trivia when visiting local film destinations such as the Covington Square. Search out the Walk of Stars that list the actor, project, year filmed and a prominent gold star to recognize many of the productions filmed here. Your dad might even share some stories from when he watched the original Dukes of Hazzard, In the Heat of the Night, Remember the Titans or Cannonball Run. He can also test his knowledge of TV and film against our witty tour guides during a Vampire Stalkers Mystic Falls tour.

Nature

If your dad is into nature, spend the day with him at Factory Shoals Recreation Park. Located where the Alcovy River flows into Lake Jackson, the park is a 450-acre haven for anyone who loves to fish, hike, swim, and enjoy the shoals. This is a great place to take a nature hike and then find a relaxing spot along the water as the kids swim and play. While you are walking along the nature paths, you’ll also see remnants of history. Several textile factories were attracted to the numerous shoals and rapids along this section in the early 1800s.
