Just last month we celebrated the season six finale of the very popular Vampire Diaries. Along with seeing exciting celebrities at the finale party event like Michael Malarky, we had to say goodbye to one of our favorite Vampire Diaries celebrities, Nina Dobrev, in the last episode of season six.
Although we had to say goodbye to one of our favorite TVD characters, it was just released by Yahoo! News that another one of our favorite Vampire Diaries characters would be coming back in season seven and playing a bigger role than she ever has before. Lily Salvatore, played by Annie Wersching, will make an exciting return to The Vampire Diaries for season seven.
Wersching’s character, Lily Salvatore is also known as Mama Salvatore and is the mother of main characters Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, and Stefan, played by Paul Wesley. Lily Salvatore will be making a huge comeback in season seven and will be seen reuniting with the heretic vampires, otherwise known as vampires with witch powers.
It is rumored that Salvatore, along with her heretic friends, will be seen making waves all throughout season seven and may even move into being a major antagonist of the series going forward. It is also rumored that although The Vampire Diaries has lost Nina Dobrev, the series will go on for several more seasons and will begin to focus more on Stefan and Damon moving forward.
