Whether you like to hunt, fish, hike, or to just be outdoors, this place is for you. Run by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, this beautiful establishment offers many different activities in a place that is right next door.
For those of you who are there for the animals, you can fish, bird watch, ride horses, and even hunt. You can hunt deer, turkey, and other small game. For those just wanting to practice, there’s a shooting range and an archery range, as well.
There’s also hiking and biking for everyone. Choose from the many trails the Wildlife Center offers, like the Clubhouse trail is one and a half miles, while the Granite Outcrop is an easy 1.1.
You can explore on a self-guided driving tour or take a boat for a spin. Enjoy a picnic with your family or truly explore the outdoors with camping.
This place is great for business, too. You can utilize the conference center or one of the other meeting accommodations. There’s a banquet hall to rent out, as well.
Finally, education can be furthered with children’s educational programs and even teacher education programs.
