Mains Street’s Stars and Stripes Fest 2018

The 4thof July is a day to celebrate the independence of our great country. Without the Declaration of Independence who knows what America would be today. That is why the 4th of July is a national holiday and we celebrate and display our patriotism for our great country. What better way to celebrate the 4thof July than in the Original Hollywood of the South®.

This year the 2018 Stars and Stripes Fest is presented by JACO Contracting Inc. Voted Best Fireworks Show 2016 by Main Street America and Top 4 Fireworks Shows in Georgia 2017 by Uber. There will be a variety of food trucks and fun activities for all ages so, bring the whole family. There will be a zipline, rockwall, a video game truck, spider jump, cow train, obstacle course, and many more options!There will also be performances by Hannah Thomas, Newton County Community Band & Mass Community Choir, Drive Time Band, and A1A: The Official and Original Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band. 

The event Starts at 3:00pm with music from DJ Kid Tree and Go-Ye DJs. Then we have the golf cart parade at 4:00pm that benefits the Newton County Special Olympics Equestrian Team. The golf cart parade is a community favorite you won’t want to miss. At 5:00pm we will have a performance by Hannah Thomas Band then a performance by the Newton County Community Band and Mass Community Choir at 6:00pm. At 7:00pm we will announce the winners of the Golf Cart Parade, immediately followed by a performance from Drive Time Band. At 8:00pm there will be a performance by A1A: The Official & Original Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band. Then the moment everybody has been waiting on, the fireworks begin at 9:40pm after recognizing our heroic veterans and playing our National Anthem. All times are approximate.
