Movie Star Monday: The Fighting Temptations 2002 Paver

We are back with another installment “Movie Star Monday”, This week we highlight the “Fighting Temptations”, Paver that is located on the square. This 2003 film was about a New York advertising executive who travels to a small Southern town to collect his inheritance, but finds he must create a gospel choir and lead it to success before he can collect. Cuba Gooding Jr. stars as Darrin Hill, the lead character.

 

 

The film also stars  Beyonce Knowlesas Lilly. Hills childhood friend and crush, who is an R&B nightclub singer and has a son out of wedlock. The River Center for performing Arts in Columbia, Ga hosted the film showing just another way our state has embraced the filming industry.  Visitors can see The Fighting Temptations in downtown Covington paver, along with many other.

 

Over the years, an abundance of movies and TV shows have been filmed in other inviting, Southern town. Because of all of the Hollywood influence, Covington started the “Walk of Stars” years ago.   This tour is one of the best things to do in Georgia. The attraction provides people with a taste of Hollywood glam whenever they visit our lovely county and it has become a great tourist attraction in Georgia!   Now, visitors and locals can see the locations and the number of movies, as well as movie stars who have visited Covington.
