The Covington/Newton County Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to announce its newest contest, The Mystic Falls Ultimate Fan Weekend. The contest consists of a grand prize winner and two runner-up prizes.
The grand prize is a weekend for the winner and a guest in Mystic Falls, aka Covington, GA. The prize can be redeemed on the weekends of either February 27th, 28th and March 1st, or July 17th, 18th, and 19th of 2015.
The grand prize includes a 3 night stay at the Twelve Oaks Inn Bed & Breakfast ( one room only), a gift basket from The Cork Boutique, Vamp Pamp gift certificate from Charmed Day Spa, Vamped out mani/pedi certificate from Tropical Nails Salon and Spa, lunch at Bradleys Bar-B-Que, Scoops Milkshake (Ian’s favorite Banana Pudding), Shelvie Jean Shopping Spree, VIP dinner for two at Mystic Grill, VIP limo tour by Mystic Falls Tours, catered lunch at the Lockwood Mansion, private photo shoot at the Lockwood Mansion, and private shopping at On Location Gifts. Travel expenses to and from from the winners residence to Covington, Ga are not included in the grand prize.
Second prize is a framed and signed Love Sucks poster signed by Nina Dobrev, Ian Sommerhalder, and Paul Wesley.
Third prize is a Vampire Diaries Season V DVD set.
To be eligible to win the grand prize, contestants must stay in a hotel overnight in Covington, Georgia from October 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014. The winner will be asked to produce a receipt from a valid Covington, Georgia hotel, motel, or Bed and Breakfast.
The contest begins at 1:00a.m. Eastern Standard Time on October 30th, 2014. It ends on December 31st, 2014 at 11:59p.m. Eastern Standard Time. To win the second or third prize an overnight stay is not required.
To enter the contest fans must visit the GoCovington Facebook page on or after October 31, 2014, then click the links to complete registration. Winners will be notified via phone or e-mail.
The contest entries will begin after a live viewing of The Vampire Diaries series episode on October 30th, 2014, 8:00 p.m. in the historic Newton County Courthouse.

Official Contest Rules
This contest is created, sponsored, and administered by The Covington-Newton County Visitors Bureau. Do not proceed to enter if you are not at least 18 years of age. Internet access required to enter.
The Mystic Falls “Ultimate Fan Weekend” Contest begins at 1:00 a.m., Eastern Time (“E.S.T.”) on October 30, 2014 and ends December 31, 2014. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., E.S.T., on December 31, 2014.
ENTRY: Visit our Facebook page on or after October 30th, 2014 and click on the links to complete the registration before the contest end period.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all International and US fans who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of The Covington-Newton County Visitors Bureau and any other organizations affiliated with the sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support, advertisement or promotion of the Contest and/or their respective agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families or household members are not eligible. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.
HOW TO WIN: To be eligible for the Grand Prize contest participants must stay overnight in a participating location in Covington, Georgia between October 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014. Winner must produce a valid receipt from a Covington, Ga hotel, motel or Bed and Breakfast accommodation to claim prize. Grand prize award excludes travel expenses from the winner’s primary residence to Covington, Ga.
No overnight accommodation stay is required to be eligible for a second or third place award. After the conclusion of the contest, winners will be randomly selected.
Winners will be notified by phone and/or email and will have approximately 15 business days to claim their prize. In the event of unclaimed prizes, additional winners will be selected at random from among the eligible entries.
Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portions thereof) of equal or greater value if prize (or portions thereof) cannot be awarded as described. Sponsor will determine all elements of prizing in its sole discretion. Prize may not be assigned, transferred, or changed, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee express or implied by Sponsor. Sponsor disclaims all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third party product or service accepted by the winner. The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if winner fails to provide proof of identity and refuses to provide required documentation, is found to have violated the Official Rules or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, prize will be forfeited and awarded to the entry with the next highest score. Entrants understand that Sponsor is not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize. PRIVACY: Registration for Sponsor’s Facebook page is required to enter the contest. When you register, we collect personally identifying information about you, including your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address. The information that you provide will be added to a centralized Sponsor database so that you will simultaneously be registered for Sponsor’s other websites as well. By entering and providing the required registration information, you acknowledge that Sponsor may send you information, samples, or special offers it believes may be of interest to you about its publications or other complementary goods offered by Sponsor. Sponsor may also include your name and postal address in postal address lists that Sponsor sells or rents to third parties for marketing purposes. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Except where prohibited, by participating Contest entrants agree that: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participant(s) and Sponsor and its agents shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Georgia without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Entrant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Contest, or awarding of the prize, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Georgia and entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. Except where prohibited, by participating in this Contest, entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or awarding of the prize, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any participant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. OTHER: Sponsor assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, or lost entries. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the contest. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to select winner from among all eligible entries received prior to date of cancellation. The use of automated entry systems or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the contest is prohibited. In the event of a dispute regarding online entry, entry will be deemed made by the holder of an established e-mail account associated with the entry.
GENERAL: By entering the Contest, entrants authorize the Sponsor and its advertising partner, Marketing Media Management, to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, country, city and state of residence and entry in promotional material and for advertising, public relations and editorial purposes in any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, or on a winner’s list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above-mentioned information or materials, but may do so, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.
Except where prohibited by law, potential winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Ownership/Liability Release, Publicity Release and Assignment of All Rights in Pre-existing Work within ten (10) days of notification or the next random valid entry may become an alternate winner. If winner notification is returned as undeliverable, the next random valid entry may become an alternate winner. By participating and winning a prize, winner releases Sponsor, and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the contest.
