Newton Movie Review: My Cousin Vinny

My Cousin VinnyJoe Pesci and Ralph Macchio star in the hilarious classic film, My Cousin Vinny, which is about crime, friends, and drama. Pesci plays Vinny Gambini, new lawyer and cousin to Macchio’s character, Bill Gambini.

When Bill and his friend, Stan, find themselves in trouble for a crime they didn’t commit. While they were trying to shoplift a few items from a convenient store, they were unknowingly to them charged with murder and robbery.

Facing some major consequences for what they believe is shoplifting, they are forced to call a lawyer. Bill soon finds out that he has a lawyer in his family – Vinny. Unfortunately for the pair who is facing execution, Vinny isn’t the most experienced lawyer. In fact, he just passed the bar after multiple attempts.

The movie goes on with some help from Vinny’s finance, Mona Lisa, and more funny and crazy characters. Bill, Stan, Vinny, and Mona Lisa go on a journey to prove Bill and Stan’s innocence.

My Cousin Vinny is equal parts hilarious and fun, crazy dramatic and a little heart warming. It is a 1992 film that you and a loved one should watch today if they want to laugh so hard they’ll cry!
