Libraries
Porter Memorial Branch Library is a full-service branch of the Newton County Library System. The 18,000 square foot LEED building is named in honor of James Hyde Porter and featues adult and children’s books, audio books, DVD’s and music CDs, public computing with Internet access, plus a Teen Room, a Quiet Room, Study rooms, a Meeting Room and Conference Room.

Civic Organizations
Volunteers at Piedmont Newton Hospital Auxiliary are a valuable part of our excellent health care team. They give generously of their time and talents to provide assistance to patients, visitors and staff. They are regularly rewarded with sincere thanks for their generous acts of kindness.
The Kiwanis Club of Covington is a club rich in tradition and service. The Kiwanis Club of Covington has been extremely active in our community since it was founded in 1927. We do many things to support our whole community, and especially the children of our community.
