The Square in Downtown Covington is bustling with brand new boutiques and restaurants, and we couldn’t be prouder of the recent growth that our downtown area has seen. With new shops come a multitude of things to do and new things that can be found by shopping in our area, especially pertaining to the rich film and TV history that our community has achieved. 1.       Wright Epressions Photography: Superimposed Clocktower Portrait
For those who are what we refer to as “True Fanpires,” we’re sure that a special photo from Mystic Falls is high on your priority list. Did you know that Wright Expressions Photography is offering portraits superimposed at the top of the famous clocktower? After a quick photo shoot at her studio on the square, local photographer Jordan Wright will place your photo on a background of the clocktower so that it looks like you’re standing up there like Damon, himself. There’s no other place in Mystic Falls to capture a photo like this one!

2.       WildArt: Courthouse painting on canvas, signed by Alan Autry
If you have a bit of creative flair, and would like to “make your own” memories while visiting Mystic Falls, then plan to make a stop at WildArt Creations, At this Downtown Covington art gallery, you can paint your very own canvas of the historic courthouse & clocktower, signed by Alan Autry AKA “Bubba” from In the Heat of the Night. It’s the perfect activity for an aspiring artist, located right on the square.

3.       The Cork: Vampire Wine, Lockwood Vineyards Wine, Mystic Beer
For those old enough to enjoy an adult beverage, The Cork Boutique & Gifts is the perfect stop for a bottle of vino, or a gift for friends & family. This wine shop & growler shop with many beers on draft is the premier place on the Covington Square to pick up a few lively libations. Vampire fans especially love the Vampire Wine branded blends they carry, in addition to Lockwood Vineywards wines, and Mystic Beer. Stop in and ask about these great beverage options today! They will also offer those who are old enough to try a taste of what they have available on draft.

4.       Southern Heartland Art Gallery: Mystic Falls Postcards
There’s no better way to brag about your travels than with a postcard from the places you’ve seen. Tell someone “Wish you were here” with a custom painting of Mystic Falls, printed on a lovely postcard. Southern Heartland Art Gallery has different street scenes including the iconic courthouse and Mystic Grill that you can send to friends, or keep for your own collection from your travels and sight-seeing.

If you pay a visit to the On Location Gifts store with Vampire Stalkers & Mystic Falls Tours, you’ll be able to find a bevvy of local Hollywood merchandise, memorabilia, and special show-branded items to take home with you. This is where you can pick up Vampire Diaries T-shirts, jewelry, keychains, stickers, and so much more. They also have life-size and mini cardboard cutouts of characters so you can keep Damon or Bonnie with you everywhere you go!
