It’s no secret that Damon Salvatore is not your ordinary bloodsucker. Everyone’s favorite, smoldering heartthrob from the CW’s The Vampire Diaries has been known to enjoy sweets, pickles, bourbon, and even have a flair for occasional cooking! If you’ve got an affinity for vampires, and a sweet tooth, then get your fangs ready and sink your teeth into some delectable sweet treats available on the square in Covington, GA—AKA the reel Mystic Falls.

Many of our local square merchants have signed on to offer Hollywood branded menu items for our visitors and tourists interested in film tourism. Here are some brand new items themed for The Vampire Diaries to highlight the sweeter side of these sinister bloodsuckers:

Damon's Delight Banana Pudding Ice Creamsweet treats

This local favorite is available at Scoop’s Ice Cream Parlor, located on the square at the corner of Washington Street and Church Street. Scoop’s hand-crafts over 32 flavors of delicious ice cream blends, and all of them are to die for. Ian seems to have a sweet tooth because he notoriously stops in for a scoop of banana pudding ice cream while visiting Mystic Falls. It’s become his favorite local treat, and the shop has recently renamed their popular creamy concoction to Damon’s Delight Banana Pudding, in honor of The Vampire Diaries star.

Just across the square, at the corner of Washington Street and Monticello Street, is Bread and Butter Bakery. Stop in to the bakery for the next three mystical sweet treats, themed just for our Vampire Diaries fans. Damon’s Danish is a delicious cream cheese danish pastry that’s made fresh daily, and includes a variety of fresh fruit for added flavor. It’s a sweet dessert treat that just may have you sired for life.

Bonnie’s Blueberry Cheesecake

Bread and Butter is also offering a delicious vampire-themed cake selection, Bonnie’s Blueberry Cheesecake. Their creamy and decadent baked cheesecake is covered with a generous helping of fresh blueberries and blueberry compote. But don’t say we didn’t warn you, because it will cast a spell after just one small bite!

Vampire Latte

No dessert course would be complete without an option for coffee. In addition to other delicious coffee & tea blends, Bread & Butter has added the Vampire Latte to their beverage menu. The Vampire Latte consists of a creamy & spicy chai tea latte, hot or iced, with a bit of a bite. The baristas at the coffee bar finish off this beverage with a bold shot of espresso!

A long day of tours and sight-seeing in the reel Mystic Falls is sure to work up your appetite. Make sure to feed your sweet tooth and stop in to these square merchants to get your vampire fix with their scrumptious new menu additions. If you don’t, it may haunt you forever.
