Our goal at the Covington/Newton County Convention and Visitors Bureau is to make your trip to our community as memorable as possible. And what could be more memorable than a TV-themed cocktail, right in the heart of our Southern Hollywood? That’s why our first feature is with the new Irish Bred Pub in Covington, GA.
Jack Phillips, owner of the Irish Bred Pub, is also the owner of the Cork Boutique and Gifts and growler shop next door. So, when it comes to creating a lively libation, we trust Jack’s judgment. The Irish Bred is rolling out four brand new cocktails, garnished with a twist of Hollywood! Grab a seat at one of the two bars located inside the pub, and try one for yourself:
1. The Corpse Reviver
Made with a deliciously secret mixturen of gin, triple sec, lillet rouge, absinthe, lemon juice and grenadine. This tasty libation is sure to refresh and revive you after a long day of sight-seeing in Mystic Falls.
2. Vampire Kiss
The Vampire Kiss is a bloody good mixture of vodka, triple sec, raspberry liqueur, sour mix and a bit of bubbly champagne. This nectar of the undead will make even the most skeptical of people a newfound fan of vampires.
3. Hazzard County Redneck Piña Colada
Kick back like one of the good ol’ boys and enjoy this frosty summer beverage. The Hazzard County Redneck Piña Colada is a delicious beverage blended with coconut whiskey, half & half, and pineapple juice that's sure to be a hit this summer!
4. Heat Peach Sweet Tea
Channel your inner “Bubba Skinner,” and heat things up this summer with a cool, refreshing glass of Heat Peach Sweet Tea. This Hollywood twist of a Southern favorite is made with peach whiskey, sweet tea and lemon juice, and is just perfect for a pit stop in the original Sparta.
