Take a “Steak” to Your TVD Heartbreak in Covington, Georgia!

steak We’re still in mourning over the recent news that Season 8 of The Vampire Diaries will be the last. To keep our spirits up, we’ve been hitting our comfort foods pretty hard. In fact, you could say that we’ve had an insatiable hunger for a bloody, good steak! We decided to get “steaked” for Season 8, and the only place that made sense was the Covington Square. We found so many incredible food options to ease our pain, but the steak just kept calling our names. So, we “hunted” down our favorites and decided to share our secrets.

Irish Bred Pub has a selection of steaks (or stéig, in Gaelic) that are all USDA certified and certifiably delicious! If you’re looking for a lighter option, or if you’re out hunting during your lunch break, head over to the Irish Bred Pub for their Bally Castle Steak Salad. Did you know that Bally Castle, Ireland is the Pub’s sister city? Related or not, we’re willing to bet that they’ve never had a steak salad this delicious. Dine on Certified Angus steak set atop fresh greens. Don’t forget about the Bleu cheese crumbles!

But, sometimes a salad just won’t cut it. We all know that pizza is the real cure for heartbreak. If you still need red meat and don’t want to waste time with lettuce, Amici’s of Covington also has you covered. Did you know you could create custom pizzas at Amici’s? Get creative with different toppings, including our bovine beauty, steak! Try a steak, onion, and green pepper pie or mix it up and add pineapple to your steak creation. But, if you’re a #TrueFanpire, you may want to avoid the garlic. It looks like our Belgium guest, Jonathan (who is a massive Vampire Diaries fan) enjoyed Amici’s too!

If you’ve set your sights on something a bit more nocturnal, then head over to the vampires’ favorite hangout, the Mystic Grill. They have 3 incredible steak options and each one is delicious. But, our favorite has to be the 8 oz. Flat Iron steak. It’s served with Pimento Cheese grits and a sherry tomato butter that’s to die for! You should also sample the Tenderloin Filet at RL’s Off the Square. It’s a true taste of the Bayou, right here in Covington, Georgia.

So, you see, there’s no reason to be mournful! There are many ways to alleviate your Vampire Diaries heartbreak. All you have to do is venture to the Covington Square and get “steaked”.
