The Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast is one of the most magical places in Georgia and it is located right in our very own backyard. The Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to “get away” for a weekend in the summer and we can tell you why!

This magnificent bed and breakfast is more than just a beautifully renovated Southern antebellum home. In fact, the Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast is nationally recognized around the entire country. The ever-popular Southern Living Magazine recently discovered it and if you weren’t already persuaded to book a night or two there, the article about it in Southern Living will convince you.

This bed and breakfast first made its popular debut by being mentioned in the best selling Gone With the Wind. This antebellum home was built in 1836 and it has been said that it was its appearance alone that inspired Gone With The Wind writer, Margaret Mitchell, when it came to her famous character, Ashley’s, home. In fact, the Twelve Oaks got its namesake from the fictitious Ashley’s home.

Today at Twelve Oaks you can enjoy an antebellum feel that is boosted with amazing architecture and antiques that surround the entire home. You can also take advantage of Southern Sippin’ and Nibblin’ Hour that allows all guests to enjoy complimentary wine and cheeses. Along with your complimentary wine and cheese, take part in their Turn-Down service in which you can enjoy chocolate truffles.

This incredible bed and breakfast is only a few minutes away from our very own homes – why not take advantage of its luxury and beauty? Book a room for your stay-cation today!
