The Vampire Diaries Series: Ian Somerhalder’s Favorite Scoops Treat

IMG_3954Who doesn’t enjoy ice cream on a hot day? I think it’s the best way to cool down. That’s why I enjoy going to Scoops: not only is the ice cream delicious, but it is also refreshing. I’m not the only one who thinks this way. The Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder has a favorite ice cream treat from Scoops. After filming in Covington, Georgia, he enjoys slurping down on a Banana Pudding milkshake.

Scoops is located on the Covington Square just steps away from where The Vampire Diaries is filmed. The outside is decorated in a cheery way that makes visitors want to rock away in their outdoor rocking chairs. When visitors step inside, they’re transported into candy land. This sweet shop is filled with confections galore. Not only do they have ice cream, but they also have: cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, assorted candy and much more!

For those who are Ian Somerhalder fans, you should try his favorite- the Banana Pudding milkshake. This concoction is the king of sweet treats.

When you take the first sip of the shake you’re hit with the refreshing taste of banana. As you continue sipping you cannot stop! You’re transported to the many years you spent eating banana pudding at your grandmother’s house. This creamy concoction is not only refreshing but it is nostalgic.

Perhaps it is that nostalgia that makes it Ian’s favorite treat. Next time you visit Covington, Georgia to go on The Vampire Diaries Tour make sure to stop by Scoops and try the Banana Pudding milkshake. You never know where it will transport you.
