Things to do in Covington: Candlelight Christmas Tour

merry-christmas-01Christmas is just around the corner, if you are searching for things to do in Covington this holiday season, you should check out the Candlelight Christmas Tour.  It is being held on December 7, 2013 and is being hosted by the Satsuki Garden Club.  This tour consists of six homes, five of which are in Covington and one is in Oxford. For more information about the tour as a whole read: Things to do in Covington: Candlelight Christmas.

The fifth stop on the Candlelight Christmas Tour is the Amber Leaf Cottage, the home of the Wisner family, which is located in Covington Place.  This home is nestled in a cozy cul-de-sac and is surrounded by beautiful trees, but the beauty doesn’t stop there; when you look out the back of the home you get a gorgeous view of the 5th fairway of Ashton Hills Golf Course.

As you enter this home you are greeted with an open floor plan and gorgeous rich hardwood floors. The foyer of the home is enhanced by a balcony bridge that overlooks the dining room, which is showcased by a large picture window that goes from floor to ceiling.  A unique feature is found in the master bedroom of the home, which is a sitting area.  This sitting area is filled with light from five windows and French doors, which leads onto a screened in porch. You are sure to feel the joy of a Traditional Christmas as the Wisner family celebrates the Advent Season.
