Things To Do In Covington: Walk of Stars – The Dukes of Hazzard

241E0345 - Dukes of Hazzard (2)If you like fishin’ and huntin’ and drivin’ a General Lee then we can personally guarantee that you’ll love this week’s 9th stop on the Covington Georgia’s Walk of Stars! Can you guess what it is? Here’s a hint, what do the following have in common: The Love Boat, Nip/Tuck, Hot in Cleveland, CSI Miami, Glee, Captain Planet, Andy Griffith Show, and more?  They all starred actors from this week’s 9th stop on the Walk of Stars! That’s right, a pretty impressive resume if ya’ ask Uncle Jesse!

The Walk of Stars welcomes and adds to its proud collection: The Dukes of Hazzard hit TV Series from 1979-1985. We proudly boast the Duke Family on the resume of the Hollywood of the South, Covington Georgia! This resume is fuller than a ‘possum on a gumbush according to Deputy Enos Strate! The Dukes of Hazzard TV Series on Primetime Television kept everyone’s favorite Duke Boys, played by John Schneider and Tom Wopat, and cousin Daisy, played by Catherine Bach, getting into trouble with the law and stealing hearts while on screen!

Being filmed in Covington, Georgia we thought it fitting we add it to our Walk of Stars! The Dukes of Hazzard had such a great dynamic that it won a Primetime Emmy in 1984. If we failed to add this hit TV Series, we’d have less sense than that the good Lord promised a turkey! We aren’t responsible if you leave saying things like “buzzard on a buzzsaw” or “darn tootin”! On that note, we’d like to take the time to say thank you to The Dukes of Hazzard for being the 9th stop on the Covington Georgia’s Walk of Stars and keeping with our tradition!

We end with the final narration from the show- “So, you see, that’s the way it goes in Hazzard. Where the Dukes will even help out their enemy when the chips are down. That’s plum typical of the Dukes of Hazzard. Too bad it ain’t the same everywhere else, huh?”
