Tourist attractions in Georgia : Concerts on the Square, CovingtonNow you can turn humdrum Thursdays into an afternoon of excellent live music.  Throughout the month of May, The Arts Association of Newton County will be hosting Luncheon Concerts on the Square.  The Luncheon will take place every Thursday at noon and will be featuring many talented musicians. This will be the perfect event for families, friends and visitors from out of town. You get to listen to great music and enjoy beautiful downtown Covington, for free!  Add the Luncheon to your list of terrific things to do in Georgia!

The charming Square of Covington will be brimming with new and gifted artists every week. The Eastside High School band and the Newton County Honor band start off a month of music on the second in the Newton County Administration building.  This Thursday listen to the stellar songs of the Jorge Alvarez Latino Trio and don’t miss brilliant Tony Bryant Blues Band on the 16th.   The Luncheon will also be featuring the Long Hollow Hooley, who will be filling the square with mystical Celtic music on the 23rd.  Then for all of you reggae fans, take the opportunity to kick back and relax with Majestic Dub Kru on the 30th.

The Luncheon Concerts on the Square guarantees that you will always have a place to unwind and listen to great live music.  Be sure to make the Covington Square one of the many places to visit in Georgia.  The gathering of these remarkable artists marks the Luncheon as one of the finest things to do in Covington, Georgia!
