Childrens Activities in CovingtonSome people visit Covington, Georgia to enjoy seeing the filming locations of their favorite shows. A lot of shows filmed in Covington maybe a bit older than the children those visitors bring along. That has prompted them to ask, “What is there for my kids to do in Covington, Georgia?” We compiled a list of some of our favorite activities to do with kids when we are hanging out in the Hollywood of the South.

  1. Get some Ice Cream at Scoops and then follow our Walk of Stars tour. This will allow your children to enjoy delicious flavors of Scoops ice cream, while you get to see all of your favorite stars. Some of the stars are even in front of filming locations so you can explain to your kids the significance of the site. Not only will your kids get a cold treat, but they will also get to learn in a fun environment.
  2. Visit Berry Tree Farm or Mitcham Farm depending on the season. Both farms have fun children activities that you and the whole family will enjoy! Mitcham has a corn maze that you and your children can attempt. Berry’s tree farm has a Christmas train ride that would be magical for any family to be on. No matter what season you visit in, both farms will keep your children entertained.
  3. Go kayaking on the Yellow River. Make sure to call in advance and make a reservation for this one. Our beautiful Yellow River is right next to the Porterdale Lofts where many movies have been filmed. While paddling on the river you can enjoy not only our Hollywood aspect, but also the beautiful scenery in Covington.
