#TouristTales: Our New Friend, Taylor Nabors

friendCovington, Georgia has always been the most welcoming community of fast friends. Tourists and visitors from across the world stop here for fantastic adventure. But, they stay for the friendly faces.

For this installment of #TouristTales, we got the chance to interview Taylor Nabors, our newest friend from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She joined us for the final Bite Night premiere of The Vampire Diaries and we have to say, she is one of the biggest Vampire Diaries fans we’ve ever met.

Our night began as we sat in Legion Field, awaiting the premiere. We were chatting with Elisa Tamburro, our very first #TouristTales. Suddenly, a very friendly gal sat down next to us. She introduced herself and our friendship blossomed from there.

Taylor began regaling us with her Covington tales, saying repeatedly that this was her “favorite little town.” She’s been coming to Covington, Georgia for three years now! Her Bite Night began early that morning, when she took part in the walking tours available through Vampire Stalkers.

She even stopped in the store to take pictures with her “husband”, Ian Somerhalder. Well, his cutout at least. We asked how she felt about the sweeping romance of Elena and Damon. Her response? “Elena and Damon were too whiney at first, but you grew to love them.” Speaking of wine, Taylor also picked up a few bottles of the Vampire wine, at the Cork.

As we sat chatting about our favorite Vampire Diaries moments, Taylor said “My favorite thing about The Vampire Diaries is that, without this show, I would have never met as many friends as I have. Just right now, I’m getting to meet a new friend from Italy. That never would have happened without the show. And, also, it wouldn’t have happened without Covington.”

Suddenly, as she spoke, Taylor recognized a woman she had gotten to know at last year’s Bite Night event. Taylor ran over to the grinning girl, who immediately embraced her. Their giggles and smiles were proof enough that Covington is the place were friendships are made. No wonder our #TouristTale keeps coming back!

Thank you so much to Taylor Nabors for agreeing to talk with us. We so enjoyed our chat and hope to see you again really soon! Look us up, when you hit the Newton County line. If you have an interesting #TouristTale that you’d like us to share, please let us know! You can send your stories via email to delaney@managemmm.com or send us a private message to our Facebook.
